About KageSenshi
Izhar Firdaus a.k.a KageSenshi , is a FOSS enthusiast, advocate and developer based in Malaysia. He is one of the co-founder of Inigo Consulting, a Plone support and development company, and is the primary system engineer of the company.
He believe that knowledge should always be free and available for all, and is a fan of componentized, reusable and modular software design. He is an active Malaysian FOSS contributor and contributes to a number of project and community during his free time which includes:
- Fedora Project - He is a local Fedora Ambassador, an active person in the Fedora Malaysia group, and was the main person behind Fedora User Developer Conference Asia Pacific : Kuala Lumpur 2012
- Plone - As part of his dayjob in Inigo Consulting, he contributes add-ons and bug fixes to the Plone project.
- Hack In The Box - He is one of the volunteer crew in HiTB security conference. He was the developer of the scoreserver for HiTB Capture the Flag competition for several years.
- He also give talks and community tutorials for local Python usergroup, and general FOSS events and BarCamps
- He founded and advocates CampusCamp, a project which try to encourage students and staff of educational institutions to share knowledge through a BarCamp style event.
- He was one of the crew behind FOSS.My 2008 and 2009
- Recently he just started a local Zope/Plone usergroup with the hope of increasing the awareness of Zope and Plone in Malaysia.
